Smithsonian Channel: Space Voyages

An exciting blend of the past, present and future of human space exploration, this four-part series goes deep on the key technical breakthroughs that allowed humanity to leave earth and how we are building on those to push our horizons far further out than we’ve yet been. Nobody on the team that built the first probes we crashed into the moon would have dreamed that one day we would send robots to mine ice we’ve discovered under the craters at the moon’s frozen poles. Soon, the paths blazed by those pioneers will lead to exactly that activity and so much more we are only now conceiving for the moon, Mars and beyond.
